Permitted Development Rights
The permitted development rights for householders, which came into effect in October 2008 allow a more
generous possibility to extend an exsting dwelling.
Previously, the size of any extension of whatever form had to fal within a single volume allowance.
The current relaxation of these provisions now still retains a slighly smaller volume alowance for ‘loft’
converions, but in addition other extensions are now allowed subject to limtations on height & plan size.
Completion of Refurbishment for Foster Environmental Ltd
Late December 2010 saw the completion of the relocation fit-out for Foster Environmental Ltd at their new
premises at Crosby Grange, Scunthorpe. Works consisted of a full refurbishment of internal space to form
a bespoke unit for this Mechanical Services Contractor, to facilitate a flexible base for their operations.

Bungalow 1 Refurbishment at St Mary’ Hospital Handed Over
At the end of March 2011, the refurbishment of ‘Bungalow 1’ was handed over to the client, Leeds
Partnerhsips NHS Foundation Trust. The main refurbishment works taking 8 weeks, was undertaken by
the East Ardsley based refurbishment contractor Waterhouse and consisted the conversion of a former
acute residential unit into a modern office environment for support/ administration staff.
